Misawa's manhole cover has a Matsu Pine as its central feature, surrounded by azalea blossoms. Misawa is the home of Misawa Air Base, a joint Japan Self Defense Force - U.S. Air Force/U.S. Navy Air Base. The Misawa area is famous for its excellent rice, Komaki Onsen, and its Aviation and Science Museum. Aoba Onsen is very nice too!
