< Senboku City, Akita >
I took this photo on the shores of Lake Tazawako. Lake Tazawako is a caldera lake in Semboku, Akita Prefecture, northern Japan. It is the deepest lake in Japan (the maximum depth is 423.0 m). Due to its depth, the lake never freezes. The manhole shows a large hawk and plants/flowers native to the area.
