This colorized manhole cover from Hakodate shows the pentagonal shape of Fort Goryokaku (it means pentagon in Japanese), as well as the western style Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward. The Old Public Hall often holds balls where the dancers where dancers dress in period costumes from the late 1800's.
